![]() ![]() (FT2 or BO3) Finals are pushed to FT3 / BO5. Generally, a match ends when a player wins 2 games over his opponent.Like that, a match doesn't take hours to last. Some of them have time-out effects, which is really useful for the TOs. All tourney matches lasts less than 15 minutes. If a game doesn't have "tap-to-set" button configs or if that button config isn't accessible right before the beginning of a game, (the Character Select Screen in fighting games) it'll add tons of time wasted per tourney matches. ![]() Button config menu in options can be the competitors' best friends or worst enemies. The "king" console in FGC events right now is the PS4. Without counting all the configurations and frame-dropping you could have on a low-spec PC, when every consoles runs the game the same, for all competitors. And plugging a controller and making it work can be a hassle with PCs. Because players must have their controllers in FGC events. In local events like this, consoles are way better than PC.You only need one machine and 2 pads to have a tournament setup. Team tourneys are possible for not the priority. To give you an idea, My list could look like this: Puyo Puyo Tetris, TowerFall, Lethal League, Catherine, Videoball, etc.Īll of those games are radically different, but they all have the same competitive approach. Only local-multiplayer games, extremely competitive and, unfortunately, not that much here in tourneys, despite having their own communities. I'm interested in running events that I would run like any FGC majors, but with no "true fighting games" on the game's layouts. When I saw "RTS", "couch-gaming friendly" and "eSports-minded" in the description, I wanted to know more about it. I've heard about Mushroom Wars, I saw the first one on PS3. I'm less here as a player and more as a Tourney Organizer (TO). So, I'm a fighting game player and I know close to nothing about RTS, nor am I really interested about the whole genre in general.
